1بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ

Translations

जब आसमान तर्ख़ जाएगा

Izas samaaa'un fatarat

When the sky breaks apart

2وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ

Translations

और जब तारे झड़ पड़ेंगे

Wa izal kawaakibun tasarat

And when the stars fall, scattering,

3وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ

Translations

और जब दरिया बह (कर एक दूसरे से मिल) जाएँगे

Wa izal bihaaru fujjirat

And when the seas are erupted

4وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ

Translations

और जब कब्रें उखाड़ दी जाएँगी

Wa izal qubooru bu'sirat

And when the [contents of] graves are scattered,

5عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌۭ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ

Translations

तब हर शख़्श को मालूम हो जाएगा कि उसने आगे क्या भेजा था और पीछे क्या छोड़ा था

'Alimat nafsum maa qaddamat wa akhkharat

A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back.

6يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ

Translations

ऐ इन्सान तुम्हें अपने परवरदिगार के बारे में किस चीज़ ने धोका दिया

Yaaa ayyuhal insaaanu maa gharraka bi Rabbikal kareem

O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous,

7ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ

Translations

जिसने तुझे पैदा किया तो तुझे दुरूस्त बनाया और मुनासिब आज़ा दिए

Allazee khalaqaka fasaw waaka fa'adalak

Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you?

8فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍۢ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ

Translations

और जिस सूरत में उसने चाहा तेरे जोड़ बन्द मिलाए

Feee ayye sooratim maa shaaa'a rakkabak

In whatever form He willed has He assembled you.

9كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ

Translations

हाँ बात ये है कि तुम लोग जज़ा (के दिन) को झुठलाते हो

Kalla bal tukazziboona bid deen

No! But you deny the Recompense.

10وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَٰفِظِينَ

Translations

हालॉकि तुम पर निगेहबान मुक़र्रर हैं

Wa inna 'alaikum lahaa fizeen

And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers,

11كِرَامًۭا كَٰتِبِينَ

Translations

बुर्ज़ुग लोग (फरिश्ते सब बातों को) लिखने वाले (केरामन क़ातेबीन)

Kiraaman kaatibeen

Noble and recording;

12يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ

Translations

जो कुछ तुम करते हो वह सब जानते हैं

Ya'lamoona ma taf'aloon

They know whatever you do.

13إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍۢ

Translations

बेशक नेको कार (बेहिश्त की) नेअमतों में होंगे

Innal abraara lafee na'eem

Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure,

14وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍۢ

Translations

और बदकार लोग यक़ीनन जहन्नुम में जज़ा के दिन

Wa innal fujjaara lafee jaheem

And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire.

15يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ

Translations

उसी में झोंके जाएँगे

Yaslawnahaa Yawmad Deen

They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense,

16وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ

Translations

और वह लोग उससे छुप न सकेंगे

Wa maa hum 'anhaa bighaaa 'ibeen

And never therefrom will they be absent.

17وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ

Translations

और तुम्हें क्या मालूम कि जज़ा का दिन क्या है

Wa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud Deen

And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?

18ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ

Translations

फिर तुम्हें क्या मालूम कि जज़ा का दिन क्या चीज़ है

Summa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud Deen

Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?

19يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌۭ لِّنَفْسٍۢ شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلَّهِ

Translations

उस दिन कोई शख़्श किसी शख़्श की भलाई न कर सकेगा और उस दिन हुक्म सिर्फ ख़ुदा ही का होगा

Yawma laa tamliku nafsul linafsin shai'anw walamru yawma'izil lillaah

It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah.
