1بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ

Translations

आसमान और रात को आने वाले की क़सम

Wassamaaa'i wattaariq

By the sky and the night comer -

2وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ

Translations

और तुमको क्या मालूम रात को आने वाला क्या है

Wa maaa adraaka mattaariq

And what can make you know what is the night comer?

3ٱلنَّجْمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ

Translations

(वह) चमकता हुआ तारा है

Annajmus saaqib

It is the piercing star -

4إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌۭ

Translations

(इस बात की क़सम) कि कोई शख़्श ऐसा नहीं जिस पर निगेहबान मुक़र्रर नहीं

In kullu nafsil lammaa 'alaihaa haafiz

There is no soul but that it has over it a protector.

5فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ

Translations

तो इन्सान को देखना चाहिए कि वह किस चीज़ से पैदा हुआ हैं

Fal yanzuril insaanu mimma khuliq

So let man observe from what he was created.

6خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٍۢ دَافِقٍۢ

Translations

वह उछलते हुए पानी (मनी) से पैदा हुआ है

Khuliqa mim maaa'in daafiq

He was created from a fluid, ejected,

7يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ ٱلصُّلْبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ

Translations

जो पीठ और सीने की हड्डियों के बीच में से निकलता है

Yakhruju mim bainissulbi wat taraaa'ib

Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.

8إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٌۭ

Translations

बेशक ख़ुदा उसके दोबारा (पैदा) करने पर ज़रूर कुदरत रखता है

Innahoo 'alaa raj'ihee laqaadir

Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able.

9يَوْمَ تُبْلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ

Translations

जिस दिन दिलों के भेद जाँचे जाएँगे

Yawma tublas saraaa'ir

The Day when secrets will be put on trial,

10فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٍۢ وَلَا نَاصِرٍۢ

Translations

तो (उस दिन) उसका न कुछ ज़ोर चलेगा और न कोई मददगार होगा

Famaa lahoo min quwwatinw wa laa naasir

Then man will have no power or any helper.

11وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجْعِ

Translations

चक्कर (खाने) वाले आसमान की क़सम

Wassamaaa'i zaatir raj'

By the sky which returns [rain]

12وَٱلْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدْعِ

Translations

और फटने वाली (ज़मीन की क़सम)

Wal ardi zaatis sad'

And [by] the earth which cracks open,

13إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلٌۭ فَصْلٌۭ

Translations

बेशक ये क़ुरान क़ौले फ़ैसल है

Innahoo laqawlun fasl

Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement,

14وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلْهَزْلِ

Translations

और लग़ो नहीं है

Wa maa huwa bil hazl

And it is not amusement.

15إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًۭا

Translations

बेशक ये कुफ्फ़ार अपनी तदबीर कर रहे हैं

Innahum yakeedoona kaidaa

Indeed, they are planning a plan,

16وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًۭا

Translations

और मैं अपनी तद्बीर कर रहा हूँ

Wa akeedu kaidaa

But I am planning a plan.

17فَمَهِّلِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًۢا

Translations

तो काफ़िरों को मोहलत दो बस उनको थोड़ी सी मोहलत दो

Famahhilil kaafireena amhilhum ruwaidaa

So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile.
